DATES TO KNOW

• Wed., October 8 - Buda City Council Meeting: City staff will provide a comprehensive 2021 Buda Bond program update to City Council during the regular City Council meeting. Discussion and possible action for the Old Black Colony Road Reconstruction project and the Jackson Tyler Norris Memorial Skate Park Pedestrian Crossing are on the agenda. If you cannot attend in person, you can watch the meeting virutally.
• Wed., October 15 - BBOC/Parks Commission Special Joint Meeting: City staff will present the public feedback gathered from the recent Eastside Park Master Planning Open House.

Old Black Colony Road Reconstruction Update

An open house was held on September 11, 2025 at Buda City Hall to present the latest project updates and gather public feedback. Staff will present a project update and the public feedback gathered during the open house to Buda City Council on Wed., October 8. City Council will discuss and possibly take action on the 60% design during this presentation.

Eastside Park Master Planning

Staff is presenting the public feedback that was gathered from the public open house in September to:

• Buda City Council - October 8 regular meeting @ 6:30 p.m.
• Buda Bonds Oversight Committee and Parks Commission - October 15 special joint meeting @ 6:00 p.m.
  

All public meetings are at Buda City Hall, unless otherwise noted, and open to the public to attend in person or virtually. If you were not able to attend the in-person open house or leave comments virtually, you can attend one of the listed public meetings to provide feedback.

Members of the public were able to vote on the types of recreation activities they'd like to see in the design for the future park. The graphic shows the feedback gathered that will be presented to City Council on Wed., October 8.

Projects in Design Phase

Many projects are at various levels of design. Below is a list of projects and their current design phase level:

• FM 2770/Main Street Pedestrian Connections - 90% design phase, design will be completed in Fall 2025
• W Goforth Road Reconstruction - 60% design to begin Fall 2025
• Austin Street Reconstruction - 60% design to begin Fall 2025

Jackson Tyler Norris Memorial Skate Park Pedestrian Crossing

Members of the Buda Bonds Oversight Committee (BBOC) identified the need for a pedestrian crossing on S Loop 4 to the entrance of the Jackson Tyler Norris Memorial Skate Park. City staff is recommending that funds be allowed for construction through the 2021 Buda Bonds Future Small Mobility Funds. Staff will take this recommendation for discussion and possible action to Buda City Council on Wed., October 8, 2025.
