Project Green Schools honors and recognizes Outstanding National Environmental Education & STEM Education efforts led in our  Schools & Communities at our Annual Green Difference Awards.
This event will take place at the MA State House  - Great Hall [May -2017]

Nominate a MA/RI Green Student of the Month
Green Student of the Month is a recognition program modeled after the President's Environmental Youth Awards [PEYA] meets your typical school's Student of the Month Program with an environmental spin.  

Project Green Schools will select 3 Green Student of the Month during the months of December - May representing their school and community.  

This effort was made possible by the Walmart Foundation and is only eligible for K-12 students in the states of Massachusetts and Rhode Island for the 2016-2017 school year.

A message from Melissa Cowell, Project Green School's past President, on attending the Inauguration of President Trump.  May you continue to stay bold in your leadership Melissa. Thank you for your dedication and service to PGS and make sure you bring it tenfold in DC and always.

"Friday morning I had the opportunity to attend the the Inauguration of the 45th President of the United States, Donald J Trump. My hope for the new President is that he will take action on Climate Change and continue to move forward along with other world leaders. Government officials need to come together to fight against climate change, and continue to work towards saving our Earth. Attending the Inauguration was a truly incredible experience and I am grateful for this opportunity." ~Melissa Cowell

This year's Green Schools Conference and Expo will be held in Atlanta, GA, from March 21 - 22, 2017 and will bring together
 hundreds of green school leaders, educators, administrators, advocates, practitioners and enthusiasts from across the nation. This event presents a unique opportunity for the brightest and most influential individuals in the fields of education, building design and construction, facilities management, public administration, and more, to gather, share, and learn from one another while advancing the green schools movement.

Join us for a 3-day Institute at the Audubon Center of the Northwoods, where you will gain comfort in communicating on climate change, engage in climate change activities and workshops, and get a chance to explore the beautiful Minnesota northwoods.

The online course is for science and social studies educators of grades 6-12 and will run March 13th - May 12th, 2017.
