It is an in-depth look at the inspiring and impressive work that Project READ does to uplift literacy across multiple generations in Redwood City. The article interviews Project READ Director, Kathy Endaya and highlights the volunteer-run program that offers one-on-one tutoring, group activities, educational resources and even free meals to its students. Congrats to the Project READ team for the recognition!

NEWS FROM THE FOUNDATION
The Redwood City Library Foundation thanks the 23 sponsors, 12 pubs, 30+ volunteers and board members, and all of the attendees who helped make our Upscale Pub Crawl on September 21st a huge success. Over 350 pub crawlers visited some of the downtown pubs and enjoyed discounted libations while learning about Banned Books week and some frequently challenged books. Everyone had an enjoyable evening and increased their awareness about defending the freedom to read, while helping us raise $25,000 to support library initiatives. It was so successful, we will probably do it again next year!

To see the list of pubs and sponsors and photos of the event, go to https://www.rclfdn.org

Again, thanks to all who participated!
