PROJECT SAFETY NETS - Impacting Minds and Lives Through Community Development

We are thrilled to share a heartwarming update from our recent Project Safety Nets Mission Trip. Last year, during our trip, we had the privilege of engaging with two inspiring women's groups who expressed their desire to start a sewing center in their communities. Determined to support their dreams, Dr. Maxine Fantroy-Ford took charge and began collecting sewing machines in excellent working conditions.

After diligent efforts, we successfully shipped six sewing machines and one serger machine to these deserving women's groups. The joy and gratitude they expressed upon receiving the machines surpassed all expectations. At Project Safety Nets, our mission revolves around creating sustainable solutions, and this initiative aligns perfectly with our vision.

With these sewing machines, women now have the means to learn a valuable trade and generate income for themselves. They are equipped to create their own products and impart their skills to young girls, ensuring the knowledge is passed down to future generations.

Furthermore, these women have identified an additional opportunity for income by offering serging services to other seamstresses in their communities. This entrepreneurial mindset demonstrates their dedication to self-sufficiency and financial independence.

PASSION, ADVOCACY, EMPOWERMENT

We extend our deepest gratitude to Dr. Ford and everyone who generously donated sewing machines for this project. Together, we are empowering individuals to become self-reliant and fostering sustainable change. By teaching people how to fish, we are making a lasting impact on their lives and communities.

Join us in celebrating this remarkable achievement and follow our journey on social media with the hashtags: #psnmissionstrips2023 and #sustainabilitymatters. Together, we are making a difference!
