What's Happening
Construction activities are progressing as scheduled, with crews continuing work in multiple areas of the project corridor. As part of this effort, crews will be excavating the roadway on 22 Street through the end of June 2026. This work involves removing pavement and soil from the surface to form a trench, giving crews direct access to the underground infrastructure.
Simultaneously, the contractor will begin joining the pipe sections on Monday, June 8, 2026, in front of Miami Beach Senior High School. This preparatory work is necessary to assemble a continuous length of pipe required for installation.
Once this step is complete, the contractor will proceed with a scheduled pipe pullback operation on Tuesday evening, June 9, 2026, beginning at approximately 7 p.m. Pipe pullback is a continuous operation that must proceed without interruption once it begins and will continue until the full length of pipe is in place. Please know that some noise may occur during this overnight operation.
