Current and recently completed work:
Installed new storm pipe and related structures, including outfall structures to newly enlarged water quality facility at THPRD’s recreation center, on the east side of 158th Avenue and the north side of Walker to just west of Greystone Court
Completed construction of cast-in-place retaining wall and enlarged water quality facility at THPRD’s recreation center, along east side of 158th Avenue
Installed new city of Beaverton waterline on 158th Avenue, from Walker Road to Schendel Avenue
Installed new sound wall on north side of Walker Road, just west of 150th Avenue (Koll Parkway)
Built THPRD driveway approach off of 158th Avenue, between Walker Road and Schendel Avenue
Install drilled shafts for new signal poles at various locations throughout project corridor (on-going)
Install light pole bases and conduits at various locations throughout project corridor (on-going)
Continued utility relocation by utility providers and their contractors throughout the project corridor (on-going)
Upcoming work:
Install new curb and gutter, trench restoration and paving, and new sidewalk along the east side of 158th Avenue, between Walker Road and Schendel Avenue (late December thru mid-January)
Install new city of Beaverton waterline along 150th Avenue, from Walker Road north to Conor Circle (late December thru mid-February
Install storm water structures on Walker Road, west of Meadow Drive to 150th Avenue (late January thru March)
Install light pole bases along the east side of 158th Avenue, between Walker Road and Schendel Avenue (beginning mid-January)
Install light pole bases along the west side of 158th, between Walker Road and Schendel Avenue (beginning early February)
Excavation for construction of modular block retaining walls along west side of 158th Avenue, from Schendel Avenue south towards Walker Road (late February to March)
Traffic impacts:
Traffic signal shutdown with flagging at Walker Road/150th Avenue intersection 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Dec. 26-28. Expect traffic delays. Use of alternative routes are encouraged.
Road closure Dec. 26-Feb. 9 on 150th Avenue at Walker Road for city of Beaverton waterline installation. Detour to Meadow Drive and Pioneer Road.
Traffic reduced to one lane on northbound 158th Avenue, between Greystone Court and Schendel Avenue
Traffic reduced to one lane on westbound Walker Road, between Murray Boulevard and 158th Avenue
Sidewalks closed along the north side of Walker road and east side of 158th Avenue, adjacent to THPRD. Pedestrians must use the sidewalk along the south side of Walker Road or west side 158th Avenue.
Bike lane closed on the east side of 158th Avenue, between Greystone Court and Schendel Avenue. Cyclists are to share the northbound vehicle lane.
Bike lane on the north side of Walker Road has been relocated adjacent to the concrete barriers.
TriMet stop on the east side of 158th Avenue, adjacent to THPRD has been temporarily closed during construction.
