Traffic impacts:

You may have noticed the significant grade change between Meadows Drive and Butner Road. This is part of the design, due to eliminating a superelevated curve (think racetrack turn) that is being replaced by a normal road cross section.

Speed limit:

The posted speed limit has been reduced in the construction zone to 35 mph for safety.

Drivers:

Traffic has been reduced to one lane in each direction in some areas, but is opened up at intersections.

Pedestrians:

Sidewalks remain closed along the south side of Walker Road. Pedestrians are directed to use the sidewalks on the north side of Walker Road throughout the work area.

Bicyclists:

Striped bike lanes have been installed where they can be accommodated. In certain locations, bicyclists are to share the travel lane with vehicles.

Transit:

All stops for Routes 67 (Bethany/158th) and 59 (Walker/Park Way) are open though there may be temporary disruptions to stops due to current construction activities. Route 67 (Stop ID #6832) adjacent to Tualatin Hills Howard Terpenning Complex has been restored and is now open.
