Alton Court Asphalt Resurfacing Project

Project Update: August 6, 2026

What's Happening

On Monday, July 20, the City of Miami Beach began resurfacing Alton Court from 8 Street working north one block at a time up to 15 Terrace. The construction crew will continue on Alton Court between 11 and 12 streets next week.

Temporary parking restrictions will be in place on the side streets near Alton Court to facilitate this effort. Please adhere to posted signage to avoid enforcement measures.

Residents with private parking spaces accessed from the alley need to vacate their space by 7:30 a.m. and will not be able to return in their vehicle via the alley until after 5 p.m. each day. Access will be open overnight, but we are asking for area residents' cooperation with this schedule in order to successfully pave the alley. Driveways and garages may be temporarily blocked while crews complete resurfacing work in the alley; the tasks of milling and resurfacing of asphalt are rolling operations.

The project team will assist with waste collection services as much as possible while this work is in progress. The haulers are advised of the construction zone each week and early pickups are requested. Deliveries may need to be specially coordinated or received via front doors or alternate entrances temporarily to minimize impacts from construction. Residents, property managers and businesses are encouraged to reach out to the public information contact listed below if further coordination is required for your home or business.

This project is funded by the 2018 General Obligation Bond. The G.O. Bond is enhancing sidewalk and roadway surfaces in many places throughout the City of Miami Beach to improve safety and mobility for all.
