Water Main Testing Notice

Testing of the newly installed water main is ongoing throughout the project area. You may notice small taps of running water. Please do not touch, turn off or tamper with these taps. These tests are required by the Florida Department of Health and must run their full course without interruption. If stopped, the contractors would need to restart the process, which would cause delays. This testing is an important step to ensure the water system is safe and ready for use. Once the testing period is over, construction crews are able to connect the newly installed water mains to the city system. We appreciate your cooperation and patience. Please refer to the maps below for location details.

Projects Overview

The FFPs are critical infrastructure upgrade projects, designed to improve the reliability and safety of the local water distribution system. The projects include upsizing existing water mains and installing new water connections to address areas that currently do not meet required fire flow standards.

Benefits

  • Improved fire protection and public safety
  • Increased system capacity and reliability
  • Upgraded water mains and connections (some of the existing lines have been in place since the 1940s and 1950s)
  • Enhanced infrastructure to support future growth

Sidewalk Restoration: Please expect temporary sidewalk closures and restricted parking at the locations below for up to 24 hours while the concrete cures. Access to residences will be maintained and coordinated with construction crews to minimize impacts.

FFP1: Please refer to the map above for additional details.

FFP2: Please refer to the map below for additional details.

Please be advised that temporary parking restrictions will be in effect due to ongoing infrastructure improvement work. Parking will be prohibited Monday through Sunday within the designated work zones. Parking spaces will be restored and reopened as construction activities are completed in each area.
