Two New Construction Affordable Single-Family Homes For Sale Soon!

We have not one, but two new affordable single-family homes under construction and will be available for sale soon! One home is located at 806 5th Ave SW, close to Cedar River Academy at Taylor Elementary. The second home is at 515 9th St NW, conveniently located near the Cultivate Hope Corner Store. Both homes are being built by Watts Group and are expected to be completed within the next couple of months. Homeowners will need to meet income thresholds. If you know of anyone who is looking for a new home, please let them know about this opportunity. We will have more details very soon.

Transform Project Applications Now Open

Do you, or someone you know, need help with a home repair project you're unable to do on your own?

Transform Week Applications are currently being accepted for home maintenance and repair projects. Applicants must own their home, make 80% or less than median income, and reside in the Taylor or Time Check neighborhoods of Cedar Rapids.

The work completed during Transform Week, June 24-28, 2024, is done at no cost to the homeowner thanks to volunteer work, grants and sponsorships.

Examples of work that can be done during Transform Week include:

Window replacement
New gutters and downspouts
Exterior door and storm door replacement
Porch or garage painting
Deck or fence repair
Yard cleanup

Now Hiring: Housing Administrative

Coordinator

Matthew 25 is seeking an experienced, community-minded Housing Administrative Coordinator to manage and lead a variety of projects in the Neighborhood Building program for our organization.

This individual will provide leadership and management for assigned programs, ensuring milestones and targets are met and assist in scope development for projects, including visiting sites and working with clients. The Housing Administrative Coordinator will establish and maintain spreadsheets, databases, and other electronic recordkeeping to track and document projects.
