I hope this message finds you well. I’m writing to share some important news regarding our CalTime timekeeping system. All staff and faculty will receive an additional campus-wide message later today.
Project Overview
We are excited to announce the commencement of a project to replace our current timekeeping system, CalTime. The Ultimate Kronos group (UKG), the vendor whose platform the CalTime timekeeping system is built from, is planning to end the engineering of Workforce Central effective March 31, 2027. After March 31st, 2027 all associated engineering for defects and service releases, support from UKG’s Global Support organization, and professional services, will end. Therefore it is essential that we implement a replacement solution.
What to Expect

Project Goals: Our primary objectives are to enhance accuracy and improve the user experience while meeting the existing core timekeeping needs that are required to ensure employees time is correctly recorded, approved and reported to UCPath.

Timeline: We expect to kick off the project in early 2025 and roll out the new system by Fall 2026.
