Student Science for Diabetes Awareness Month
Understanding diabetes, blood glucose, and insulin
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), diabetes affects more than 9% of the U.S. population. The
Diabetes Science area at Science Buddies gathers resources in one central spot to help students explore questions about diabetes with hands-on experiments.
To support student exploration of diabetes science, Science Buddies has relevant projects in a wide range of STEM areas, including food science, biomedical engineering, and computer science. For more information, see
Fostering Diabetes Awareness through Student STEM.
Science Buddies' project ideas and resources in the area of diabetes education are sponsored by Novo Nordisk.
