Greetings!
I bring you greetings in Jesus' Name. We had such an incredible mission trip to Haiti; thank you for your prayers!
I am so thrilled that the Lord has given us an excellent vision for pursuing lost souls in Haiti while also encouraging the body of Christ. We were blessed to have a fantastic videographer with us who put together a few short videos below that I would love for you to view.
One of our biggest goals is to come alongside a work started by Calvary Chapel Yorba Linda and UFC fighter and church member Beneil Dariush. We hope to sustain the children's home through child sponsorship, which means each of the children will need multiple sponsors. Please consider sponsoring a child today, supporting one of the other projects below, or possibly forwarding this email out to someone who may be interested in this exciting new work in Haiti!
Until the last one hears,
Pastor Brent Kaser

Haiti is the poorest nation in the Western hemisphere, and Cap-Haitien is one of the poorest cities in Haiti, so you can imagine the devastation. The UN recently reported that 1,000 children a day are becoming homeless by being dropped off on the streets, at churches, hospitals, and schools. Parents abandoned their children in Haiti for many reasons, but poverty is one of the most common.

CAP-HAITIEN CHILDREN'S HOME
|
|
Currently, there are 21 children in the children's home with a few caretakers and home parents, Pastor Leo and his wife, Sandra. These children are receiving love, education, shelter, food, and most importantly, the hope of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The children also attend Calvary Christian School and Calvary Chapel Cap-Haitien, where Leo is the overseeing Pastor.

CAP-HAITIEN CHRISTIAN SCHOOL
|
|
Calvary Christian School in Cap-Haitien, Haiti is a private Christian school connected with Calvary Chapel Yorba Linda, where children can obtain a great, free, and spiritually driven education. Currently, there are 70 children enrolled in grades preschool through 4th. We are praying and trusting God that He will provide the funding to expand this school to include more grades, especially 5th grade as the now 4th graders return in the fall. To build one classroom, we estimate a $15,000 cost. We hope to build one to two rooms a year to accommodate the children graduating to higher grades.

PROCLAIMER LISTENING PROGRAM
|
|
We are so excited to be a part of starting an audio Bible listening program in Cap-Haitien. Everyday students at Calvary Christian School listen to the Bible in their heart language with their teachers through the Faith Comes By Hearing Proclaimer and answer inductive Bible study questions for 30 minutes. Watch the video below to see the joy that God's Word can bring!

A full stomach is essential for learning and good nutrition is essential for a child's development. Guaranteeing these children one good, hot meal a day is life changing. Many of these students live in extreme poverty, fighting starvation any way they can, even eating out of dumpsites. These students now know they will have at least one meal and be able to focus and learn while at school. To provide a well-balance, nutritional meal five days a week to all at school costs approximately $1,500 a month. This also includes feeding the children during their two month break from school.

There are currently 21 children in the Cap-Haitien Children's Home. Every morning, all 21 children who attend school pile into one truck. This means sharing three girls to one seat and all the boy stuffed in the open bed of the truck. Needless to say, this is not the safest or most comfortable way for these children to get to class. By purchasing a van for the Children's Home it will ensure that the children safely travel to and from school and other outings. A van would be an incredible blessing for this home. The project cost of a van being able to accommodate all of the children is $20,000.

Nightlawsun goes by the nickname SunSun at the children's home. He is a sweet young boy who cares deeply about people and animals. When he first came to the children's home he was very anemic and still struggles from time-to-time, but is growing stronger every day. Nightlawsun's mother died and his father abandoned him at a young age. After becoming an orphan, he was living with a different family who picked him up off the streets, but they could not afford to care for him well. Your support will allow SunSun to flourish
physically, academically, and, most important, spiritually
at our Cap-Haitien children's home!
