Update from Asia
The Promise Children in our two Asia homes are healthy and continue to thrive under full time care and your faithful support. Below is an update from one of our program administrators:
"The schools in Asia where the Promise children are going, celebrated their 37
th Annual School Program in February. It was a wonderful celebration and our children did remarkably well. Some performed songs and dances while others participated in recitals and dramas. Many of them brought home medals and awards, we are so proud of them all. Swaras and Aroma received awards for ‘the most disciplined’ whereas, Binita, Susmita and Anita won ‘Reader of the Year’ awards. Lhakpa was awarded a certificate for making the ‘most remarkable improvement’. A huge congratulations to the kids as well as the house parents, Manju and Surendra, who are taking such excellent care of our girls.
All the children are doing well at school as well as taking part in extra-curricular activities. One of the girls, Karuna, received a medal for standing first in class in her final exams. It was such a proud moment.
We always feel so blessed to send updates of our children from Asia who are growing in confidence, maturity and their walk with our Lord. It fills our hearts with joy and our eyes with tears whenever the Promise girls take up their guitars and play them when we fellowship together or sing ‘Happy Birthday’ songs on birthdays. God Bless them! A big thank you to all our supporters who are helping out financially and also most importantly their love and prayers. God bless you all!"
