December 29, 2018

Wow! What a year it has been -- so many amazing success stories. I think the most incredible event was the unprecedented  retirement of 26 squirrel monkeys from the  FDA nicotine studies  to Jungle Friends Primate Sanctuary!

This is the FIRST TIME EVER the FDA has retired monkeys to a sanctuary... and it will not be the last! We will be needed for decades to come, and with your support we will provide sanctuary for many more monkeys like Gregory, Oak, Moby and their buddies!

There are over 100,000 monkeys still being used in research. Thankfully, the trend to retirement is gaining momentum, and we expect more retirees in the future. In the almost 22 years of Jungle Friends' existence, we have grown to become the largest New World primate sanctuary in the US. This would not have been possible WITHOUT YOU!

Time is running out to make your tax-deductible donation for 2018. Together, we will open the door for greater numbers of monkeys to be released from labs to Jungle Friends for an "Almost Wild" life!
