Hi Parkway People -- 

I know many of you are in the last burst of summer and the busyness of getting kids ready to go back to school next week so I will keep this quick!

Remember that this Sunday is Promotion Sunday at Parkway!

Children and students will bump up to the next grade. We'll pray for everyone heading back to a new school year. And we'll have lunch in the Ministry Center after church to catch up after the summer, build relationships, and be the Parkway community.

Lunch after church is a pure potluck — no sign-ups, no registrations — just bring your favorite food, side, or dessert to share and there will be tons of good food. 

Two other reminders for back to school events for children and students:

On Friday, August 14th all Parkway students (grades 7 - 12) are invited to meet Meagan at Baskin Robbins (19970 Southwest Fwy, Sugar Land) from 5-6pm to celebrate/complain about the start of the new school year. Ice cream is on Parkway!

Parkway at the Park for Parkway Families

On Saturday, August 15th, Parkway will set up at the pavilion in Pecan Park right here in New Territory to celebrate a great first week of school. We will be there 9am - 11am on Saturday morning with snacks. Come play at the park, tell Mrs. Becky about your first week of school, and hang out with other Parkway families.

One last thing to put on your calendar: the return of Table Talk on Sunday, August 23rd!

Table Talk is basically lunch after church with a better name — the only goal is to invite Parkway people to get around a table and build relationships. It might seem too simple — but the truth is that Sunday mornings are often not the best chance to really get to know other people!

We try to pick different places around Sugar Land where there is room for kids to run and play. We take a break from Table Talk in the summer when people scatter and we're living in full heat — don't get me wrong, August 23rd is still going to be hot, but it's time to bring back Table Talk!

On August 23rd, we'll have Table Talk at Live Oak Grill (12935 Dairy Ashford Rd, Sugar Land) after the 10:30 Service. Put it on your calendar and I'll see you there!
