Residency rules cause confusion registering voters

A new Idaho law requiring proof of residency to register to vote took effect on July 1, and two local organizations have suspended their voter registration efforts in response – and are filing legal action to stop enforcement of the law.

Open primary supporters to sue over initiative titles

The Idahoans for Open Primaries Coalition announced it plans to sue Attorney General Raúl Labrador over his description of their initiative, after the attorney general announced his intent to sue them if the initiative qualifies for the ballot.

Losing bidders sue over behavioral health contract

From the Idaho Capital Sun: State agencies are facing two lawsuits after awarding a new, expanded $1.2 billion contract to manage behavioral health services statewide. The contract controls how more than 425,000 Idahoans — about one in five residents of the state — access behavioral health care.
