Changes continue to happen rapidly to the key data access systems for appraisers. Each real estate board is transitioning into the PropTx system at a different rate. We understand that you have many questions and concerns about these transitions. The reality is that appraisers are being impacted at different rates and different times by a new system that works very differently than what you are used to. This system was developed for realtors, who are the voting members of TRREB, which owns PropTx. | |
|
AIC Ontario is committed to ensuring that you are successful in the future and are working hard to represent your interests with TRREB and PropTx. What is going on is massive in scale, has never been done before and there will be short-term issues and growing pains for everyone.
We are working with PropTx to develop solutions that will satisfy appraiser needs, but this will take time. We have made progress on ensuring candidate members have access to PropTx. They are openly interested in developing solutions that can meet the needs of appraisers who are conducting specialized historical appraisals. Unfortunately, we do not yet have a timeline for those changes.
We are compiling a list of appraiser needs and will be bringing them forward to PropTx. Thank you to those who have already shared their concerns. We look forward to hearing from others.
Please send your concerns to us at info@aicontario.ca.
