2021 Appliance Rebate Application Now Available
The 2021 Safe Appliance Installation Application is now available. As a reminder, appliances must be purchased after March 1, 2021. Appliances purchased in January and February are not eligible for the rebate program.

ALL applications must include the following: 
  • Completed rebate form, signed by both the customer and professional propane dealer 
  • Copy of paid receipt for purchased appliance 

ALL Rebates will be issued in the amount listed below for only NEW propane appliances (duel fuel units are not eligible): 
  • $300 – Furnace 
  • $200 – Water heater

MPGA Executive Director Addresses Governor Whitmer’s “Propane Emergency” and Line 5 
In response to the regional hours of service waiver declared by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s (FMCSA), Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer declared a state of emergency to make sure propane supply would be adequately distributed. Governor Whitmer has been one of the most vocal opponents to Enbridge’s Line 5 pipeline, which supplies a significant amount of propane to the state. Derek Dalling, executive director with the Michigan Propane Gas Association, joined BNN Bloomberg with his insight and perspective on this.

Indiana's Final Round of VW Funding 
Indiana is expected to release its FINAL round of VW funding for on- and off-road projects this March. There will be ~$10 million, and all fuel types are eligible. The maximum funding per applicant is $2 million, and the deployment deadline will likely be December 2022. Click here for more information.
The program status is still under development but members that are looking to replace any service crane trucks, cylinder delivery trucks, or bobtails may want to consider the grant opportunities.
