IDEM Request for Proposals: Round 2
The Indiana Volkswagen Environmental Mitigation Trust Program is announcing grant opportunities for clean air projects that will significantly reduce diesel emissions across Indiana. This is a statewide program supported with funds from Indiana’s portion of the national Volkswagen Mitigation Trust Fund and is focused on equipment and vehicle repowers and replacements with newer, cleaner alternatives of various fuel types. Grant awards will range from $50,000 to $2 Million. Total available funding for this round is $9.83 Million.
 
As a result of the going COVID-19 crisis, IDEM and the VW Committee have extended the application deadline for Round 2 of the Onroad and Nonroad Request for Proposals to  May 31, 2020 .

Annual Retail Propane Sales Report
Conducted by ICF on behalf of the Propane Education & Research Council
The Annual Retail Propane Sales Report remains the only source of state-level and market specific consumption information for propane in the US. The 2019 Reporting Period will begin on April 1st, 2020 and extend through June 1st, 2020.
 
This reporting period will cover odorized propane sales that occurred during the 2020 Calendar Year. Results from this report will be used to generate the estimated sales of 2019 U.S. odorized propane sales by state and segment.

Great Lakes Propane Convention: Registration is Open
Registration is open! Plan now to attend the Great Lakes Propane Convention, July 28-30 at the JW Marriott in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This year, Indiana, Michigan and Ohio will come together for a joint summer convention.

Indiana Propane Resume Bank
Last year the Indiana Propane Gas Association (along with our Michigan and Ohio counterparts) obtained a PERC grant for a workforce development recruitment program. Among the goals of the project was a new website specifically geared at helping attract new talent into the propane industry ( www.propanecareers.net ). As part of the project, it is IPGA’s goal to share applicants with propane retailers and members in the applicant’s area. As such, the IPGA will be providing resumes for potential job applicants. IPGA offers CETP and non-certified employee training for those employed in the propane industry or looking to obtain propane training certification. To make training more accessible to everyone, classes are held in multiple locations. Classes are open to members and non-members and pre-registration is necessary.
