Don't forget to register for VBR’s Installation Celebration, coming up on November 4 at 5:00 p.m. We will host this event virtually for members via Zoom. Register below under "VBR Events." We will celebrate the 2020 Board of Directors, install our new Directors, and announce the Realtor and Affiliate of the Year. We will also randomly select Zoom attendees for prizes!

Due to rising COVID cases, the State of Colorado has issued changes to its 'Safer at Home' orders. The updates are to combat one of the areas contributing most to spread - private/personal gatherings.
The new orders will prohibit gatherings of more than 2 households. This is because we are seeing gatherings of less than 10 people but with several different households present, spreading the virus more widely requiring expanded quarantines or expansive impacts to schools, businesses, etc.

Further changes are outlined below with the revised order attached:
p. 4 Section II.A: clarified that counties are not limited to being moved only one level at a time in the dial, and that CDPHE reserves the right to move counties in the dial more quickly than the timeframes outlined as circumstances warrant.
p. 5, 6 and 8 Section II.B, C, and D: reduced the gathering size limit in Level 1 to no more than 10 people, clarified in all 3 levels that gatherings should not exceed more than 2 households, and clarified that the person caps in restaurants, houses of worship, and indoor/outdoor events exclude staff.
p 10 Section III.B: clarified that critical businesses and government functions should follow their sector guidance, unless doing so does not allow them to provide the critical need.
p. 21 Section IV.C.15: clarified that elections operations includes activities at voter services and polling centers and other locations where elections activities occur, as well as including the act of voting by a voter.

Free Vail Pro Schools & Education Series
Join us for this online series with representatives from the Eagle County School District and area private and public schools as they give updates on their individual institutions. These one-hour presentations are available to all VBR members.
Our community offers a selection of public and private schools. It's beneficial for Realtors® to be knowledgeable on local schools for their clients, and it's helpful for any VBR members with questions on local education.

Coming Soon is now an approved topic for the Real Estate email list. When a property has been entered into the MLS as Coming Soon, an email can be sent one time per week during the duration of the Coming Soon period.
An additional edit was made to the approved topic of "Need" as well. This new provision prohibits the solicitation of off-MLS or MLS-exempt listings. While not directly a violation of the clear cooperation policy, any responses to these emails could be construed as public advertising and put the listing agent in jeopardy of violating MLS rules unwittingly.

Eagle County's Public Health order was recently revised to adopt statewide orders, along with additional requirements specific to the local community.

The Division of Real Estate continues to receive complaints concerning real estate brokers not following state and county-issued guidance regarding COVID-19 restrictions when performing real estate activities. Please be aware that many Orders are still in effect and you should be vigilant to stay in compliance of those Orders for the safety of yourself and others.
Open houses currently are allowed in Colorado.
Please review the order below, specifically Appendix B & D. In-person real estate showings and marketing services must adhere to Social Distancing Requirements with cleaning and disinfection between each showing. Open houses must follow the Indoor Event requirements in Section I.H.4 of this Order (page 6-7).
