The Colorado Affordable Housing Financing Fund supports land banking, equity, and concessionary debt for affordable housing.

Equity Program Applications Now Accepted

Starting today, Monday, March 18th, applications for the Proposition 123 Equity program are being accepted. This acceptance period will remain open until the end of the business day on Thursday, April 18th. Following the application period, awards will be announced in July.


Updated applications (versions 1.1), program guidelines, and Equity program FAQs are available on the Affordable Housing Financing Fund website.

CHFA will announce project sponsors selected to receive Equity funds.

The Equity program provides below-market-rate equity investments to eligible for-profit and nonprofit entities for the construction or preservation of low- and middle-income multifamily rental developments. A Tenant Equity Vehicle (TEV), funded through program earnings, will be required for developments receiving Equity financing. Application documents and program guidelines are available on the Affordable Housing Financing Fund website.


Projects applying for funding from the Equity program must be located in a jurisdiction that has completed a Proposition 123 Local Government Affordable Housing Commitment with the Colorado Department of Local Affairs − Division of Housing. Learn more on DOLA’s website. You may also view jurisdictions that have filed 2023 Commitments.
