Prosocial First Day of School Activities

I don't know about you, but I am amazed that it's time to think about the start of a new school year! New beginnings are always filled with adventure... Like... Who is everyone, what about likes and dislikes, what will the class dynamic be? Both teachers and kids alike ponder these questions and worries.

Activities to advance the understanding of class expectations and learning about emotions and how to express them are an important part of pro-social learning in the first months of a new school year. To help the understanding, than your own private booklet to start learning about what are the positive/acceptable behavior in class.

Children love to have their own booklets that they can write and color in. These activity sheets will allow just that... owning booklet by writing their name on it, coloring, and tracing the letters. Each packet has a booklet template, a place to write the kid's name, light gray letters for tracing, and lesson planning suggestions.

Classroom Dos and Classroom Don'ts is a bilingual booklet/zine. Each page caption is in Spanish and English.

The print is gray to allow writing practice by tracing the letters. There is a place for child names on the back.

My Book of Emotions gives the children a chance to draw faces that express each emotion written under the blank face.

The print is gray to allow writing practice and the faces are black and white to allow artistic license with coloring. There is a place on the front page for child names.
