Welcome from the Director of Enrollment

Dear Families,

As we begin the sacred Season of Advent, we are reminded of its beautiful purpose: to prepare our hearts and minds for the coming of Jesus Christ. This season invites us into a time of hope, reflection, and joyful anticipation as we await the celebration of His birth at Christmas and His eventual return in glory.

In our busy lives, Advent serves as a call to pause and embrace the gifts of faith, hope, love, and peace. Here at Saint Joseph High School, we strive to create opportunities for our students to grow spiritually, academically, and personally. During Advent, we engage in various activities that focus on service, prayer, and reflection, helping our school community live out the Gospel message.

During this season of Advent, I hope that you take this time to deepen your own faith journey. Simple practices like lighting the Advent wreath, attending Mass together, reading Scripture, or participating in acts of kindness can nurture a spirit of gratitude and unity in your homes.

As we walk through this season together, may we embrace its message of hope and promise. Let us pray for each other, our community, and the world, that we may always be a reflection of Christ's love.

May the peace of Christ dwell in your hearts this Advent and always.

Blessings,

Sue Ushela

We were blessed to host our third annual Grandparents Day at Saint Joe! The day began with a beautiful Mass, where students and their grandparents came together in prayer. Afterward, we enjoyed a lovely time of fellowship over snacks and refreshments. Thank you to all the grandparents who joined us and to everyone who helped make this event so special.

H.O.P.E. Thanksgiving Food Drive Recap

For more than 30 years, the Saint Joe community has come together to ensure families in need can enjoy a Thanksgiving meal. This year was no exception! After school, students and staff packaged 175 boxes, which are being distributed this afternoon. Thanks to your generosity, we raised an incredible $17,848.78, making this effort possible. We are grateful to everyone who contributed their time, resources, and energy to make this happen. Together, we embody the true meaning of H.O.P.E.—Helping Other People Endure. Thank you, Saint Joe family, for your continued support and commitment to serving others.

SJHS and SJGS Students Bring Hybrid Animals to Life

Mrs. Coleman's Digital Design students recently collaborated with third graders at Saint Joseph Grade School. SJGS students drew a hybrid animal, and SJHS Digital Design students created a visual image using Photoshop. Such a fun and creative partnership between our students. Well done to all involved!

Winter Concert Fun

On Wednesday, December 11, the Saint Joe Concert Band and Orchestra delivered their annual holiday concert, showcasing an evening of festive music and talent. This marked a historic moment for Saint Joe, as it was the first time in many years—possibly decades—that an orchestra was part of the program. Looking ahead, we plan to offer orchestra as part of the curriculum at least every fall semester.
