Dear Families,
We have entered this sacred season of Lent, and we are invited to reflect on our faith and grow closer to Christ through prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. These 40 days remind us of Jesus’ time in the desert, where He prepared for His mission through sacrifice and prayer.
Lent gives us an opportunity to pause, reflect, and renew our commitment to living as disciples of Christ. May we make time to strengthen and deepen our relationship with God.
May this season be a time of spiritual growth, reflection, and renewal for all of us.
May you have a blessed and meaningful Lent.

| | Students Take Center Stage in Spring Musical! | | |
Recently, Saint Joe Theatre proudly presented Anything Goes. This Cole Porter classic challenged our students with its grand scale, massive set, and a variety of dance styles, including tap. Over the course of four performances, we welcomed more than 1,200 audience members, along with 500 grade school students from our partner schools.
SJHS Theatre is grateful for the community's support! We are proud to have over 100 students involved in this year's production, making us the largest co-curricular program at Saint Joe. A special thank you to our dedicated parent volunteers, supportive teachers and directors, and our 15 senior students who made this production a success! (Thank you to Mrs. Mary K. All 7th grade students from Saint Joseph High School feeder schools will attend. Our Mock Trial team recently competed at the State level. While they didn’t place in the top five, the team put forth an impressive effort against strong competition.
Special recognition to Joey Harshman, who earned the Outstanding Witness Award and received two additional Outstanding Witness awards in rounds of play. Sarah Anatolios was also recognized with an Outstanding Attorney award in one round of play. Way to represent Saint Joe!
| | Mr. DePauw’s senior AP English students recently sharpened their acting skills as they performed their Shakespearean plays in class. | | Congratulations to our students for placing 1st at the Trine University Math Competition! Their hard work, dedication, and problem-solving skills set them apart. | | Win for the ages! Varsity Quiz Bowl went 9-1 to win the PANDA tournament sponsored by Notre Dame Quiz Bowl. That 9th win was the landmark, because it marks the 1600th win in Varsity Quiz Bowl history, spanning from 1985-2025. Congrats! | | We welcomed back Deacon Andrew Barnes '17 to celebrate Ash Wednesday Mass with the Saint Joe community. It was a beautiful celebration, bringing us together in faith as we begin our Lenten journey. | | |
Music students recently traveled to Indianapolis to perform solos at the ISSMA State Solo and Ensemble Festival.
Clarinetists Oliver Mitros and Nkem Onunkwo, violinists Dario Albahari and Sophia Schmiedeler and cellists Joelle and Katrielle Maskiny all received Gold Medals.

Saint Joe Athletics Update
| | Huskies Win Sectional Championship Over Culver Academies | | |
Boys Basketball (23 - 3) battled their way to a Sectional Championship at Plymouth High School last Saturday night vs. the Eagles from Culver Academies. The game was a close one with the Huskies trailing most of the half, but the Huskies kept the Eagles in sight and were only down by three at the half, 29-26.
The pace of the game continued in a similar manner in the second half, but the Huskies defense stepped up and forced additional turnovers in the second half which allowed Saint Joe to end the 3rd quarter tied at 36. The defense continued in the 4th quarter which saw the momentum switch in favor of the Huskies on a turnover caused by Senior AJ Boone who deflected a cross court pass and chased it down and found Sophomore Elijah King with a behind-the-back pass down court to all but seal the victory for the Huskies.
Culver had one final opportunity with 1.8 seconds left in the game, but a half-court shot was unsuccessful allowing the Huskies to move on the Regional Final. The Huskies advanced to the Regional Final vs. Columbia City High School tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. at Washington High School.
