Measuring our Impact
Catholic education is known for its academic excellence, safe environment, and faith formation. At Saint Joseph High School, the experience is consistent in all of these areas.

Every year, I witness the development of students who strive to reach higher in their academic abilities and grow in their faith on their way to become adults.

Academic development may be measured through grades and testing, like a well-written English paper, a successful science project, or acing a theology exam. But there are also aspects that can’t be as easily measured and have just as much of an impact — learning patience, empathy, and a deeper commitment to faith. Faith formation is a lifelong process that has peaks and valleys, and I can attest that during my tenure at Saint Joe, my own relationship in the Catholic faith continues to evolve and deepen.

Created in the likeness of God and as people in this faith, we hope to see the goodness of our works with God’s guiding hand. Prayer provides us a powerful opportunity to seek guidance and deepen our relationship with God. How often do we stumble, fall, or get lost on our life’s journey? Yet, through our desire to live a life of faith, we are never alone. We learn to trust in God to guide us toward the life that He has promised us, and desires for us.

It is a privilege to see students grow in maturity, understanding, and faith while also growing academically. Each student brings wonderful gifts, which will develop during his or her high school years.

I pray that you find the Saint Joe community as a place where your child’s gifts and talents can flourish as the relationships nurtured with peers, teachers, administrators, and staff creates what makes Saint Joe, Saint Joe!

Peace and blessings,

Preparing fo the
High School Placement Test
The HSPT will take place November 12 and is used to help gauge a student's academic standing prior to high school.

Testing covers verbal skills, quantitative skills, reading, mathematics, language and a written essay. Knowing how your child tests in these subjects will help place them into classes their freshman year to ensure success.

The HSPT is only taken once in the 8th grade year and can be taken at Marian or Saint Joe, whichever school you prefer.
