Building Faith, Character, and Excellence
November 16, 2018
From the Director of Admissions
“Much will be required of the person entrusted with much, and still more will be demanded
of the person entrusted with more.” Luke 12:48

The above scripture passage is a powerful reminder that much more is entrusted to us. With Thanksgiving next week we can reflect on its true meaning and acknowledge the wonderful gifts of family, friends, and community. We, as disciples of Jesus, are responsible for looking beyond our own needs.

As a Catholic educational community, we strive to model for each other the teachings of our Lord on a daily basis. The upcoming holiday season is rapidly approaching, and we can easily become overwhelmed by the urgency to meet expectations for the holidays. Let’s not forget to stop and give thanks for the many blessings we have in our lives.

On behalf of our Saint Joe family, I extend to you and your family a happy and blessed Thanksgiving.

Sincerely,

Sue Ushela

Discover Saint Joe Day
Saint Joe hosted local 8th graders on Friday, November 2nd, showing them a day in the life of a Saint Joe student. Students followed a bell schedule and spent time in each department getting acquainted with teachers and course material, while learning just what it is that makes Saint Joe so special.

It was our pleasure bringing all of the children who attended into our halls. The end-of-day pep rally left us energized and excited to see the Class of 2023 back in the fall!
Second High School Placement Testing Date
We look forward to seeing many of you on Saturday, November 17th, 2018 for the High School Placement Test (beginning at 9:00 a.m.)!

Of course we know that the date may not work for all families. With that in mind, there will be a second HSPT taking place on Saturday, December 1st, 2018 for those unable to make the first testing date. Testing will begin at 9:00 a.m. with a parent information session beginning at 9:15 a.m.
Open House

Many thanks to all who came out and made for a successful Open House at Saint Joe! We had a great time showing families around campus and getting to know our future Saint Joe families.
The Saint Joe Indians football team dropped a well-fought, tightly contested, back-and-forth battle against Mishawaka in the sectional championship. With all the fall sports tallied, Saint Joe finished second in both the boys and girls NIC All-Sports Trophy. Congratulations on a successful fall season for all programs!
