We are pleased to present you with the December issue of Prostate Cancer News You Can Use. Every month we send this email to share prostate cancer headlines, as well as other information, resources, and event listings which you might find useful.

On December 1st, we officially launched our Holiday Hope campaign. Throughout the year, Us TOO offers hope to the prostate cancer community through educational resources, support services and personal connections provided at no charge. With your help this season, we can empower others with knowledge and give the gift of Holiday Hope. Please consider donating at This year we have a special offer:
donate $250 and you will receive a limited edition, signed and numbered art print of Kathie Houchens' Holiday Hope cover painting, "Snow with Lake and Barn." And you can read quotes of Holiday Hope, in the words of some of the people that we have helped at

This year has certainly been a challenging one for all of us, in a variety of ways. Entering the Holiday Season can be a happy time for many, but might bring about complicated feelings for others, particularly for those who are affected by prostate cancer. In addition to their concerns related to testing or treatment (and further concerns related to COVID), many might experience feelings of anxiety or depression, loneliness or fear, and they might not be able to be with friends and family to celebrate the Holidays in the usual way. For those that might recognize these feelings, please know that you are not alone, and we are here for you. Although we are all separated, we can come together in numerous ways. Us TOO has virtual support groups which continue to meet online or via telephone. You can access these groups regardless of your location. View the list of these groups at: You can also reach out to us directly at or 800-808-7866. We host an online support community where you can post questions and interact with other participants on Inspire at For more information and resources on anxiety and depression related to prostate cancer testing and treatment, visit:

Video is now available of our Prostate Cancer Connections Webinar on Imaging and Prostate Cancer. The webinar was recorded on November 19th and features a panel of experts: Dr. Brian T. Helfand of NorthShore University HealthSystem who discussed Imaging and Prostate Cancer; and Ms. Bernadette Greenwood, Dr. John F. Feller, and Dr. Jeffrey Herz of Halo Diagnostics who presented on “Latest Advances in Screening, Early Detection and Treatment of Prostate Cancer.” Thanks to our sponsors Blue Earth Diagnostics, Janssen Oncology, and Halo Diagnostics. You can access the video at

Video and photos are now available from the SEA Blue 2020 National, Virtual Prostate Cancer Walk and Run. Thank you to everyone who participated and donated to help us provide support, education, advocacy, and awareness at no cost to those affected by prostate cancer. We are very happy with the national participation we had, the donations, and the quality of the event we were able to put together, especially given the restrictions we faced this year due to COVID.
