SCAM WARNING
Be on the Alert for Fraudulent Contact

Scammers use phone soliciting, regular mail and email, appearing legit to trick you into sending money to them, enter into costly contracts, and/or reveal personal information.

Such scams and misrepresentation of services are common to all trade shows, so please remain diligent!

As in past years, exhibitors are being contacted by companies "appearing" to represent the Toronto Boat Show while soliciting hotel reservations or exhibitor listing information when, in fact, they are in no way associated with the boat show.

At a glance, here is what you need to know:
  • The Sheraton Centre Toronto and Westin Harbour Castle Toronto are our partner boat show hotels. Neither will contact you directly, and no third-party suppliers are affiliated with the Toronto Boat Show.
  • Exhibitor listings in the Official Toronto Boat Show Guide are FREE and are collected by this form only, which was distributed with space renewals and posted on TorontoBoatShow.com.
  • Advertising contacts for the Official Toronto Boat Show Guide will be provided in a future newsletter and posted in the Exhibitor Kit on TorontoBoatShow.com. No other listings or guides are approved by or affiliated with the show.

Hotel Reservation Scams

No third-party suppliers are affiliated with either the Sheraton or the Westin, and these hotels WILL NOT call or email exhibitors to solicit reservations.

Special boat show rates will be posted on TorontoBoatShow.com, and exhibitors book reservations directly - by phone or through online reservation links we'll provide.

Recently, exhibitors have received hotel solicitation calls from Global Housing, which is NOT associated with the Toronto Boat Show.

In addition, please remain alert for solicitations from
CBC International , National Travel Associates, Corporate Booking Services (CBS), The Rooms Connect (aka Rooms Connection), Convention Housing Services, Six Point Travel, Tradefair Services, or other travel agencies of which we are not aware, soliciting hotel reservations.

These companies are in no way affiliated with the Toronto Boat Show, and are not authorized by the hotels to make reservations on your behalf.

Show Guide Directory Listings & Advertising Scams

Exhibitor listings in the Official Toronto Boat Show Guide are FREE, and information is ONLY collected by means of this form.

Contact information and details on advertising in the Official Toronto Boat Show Guide will be announced in a future newsletter and posted in the Exhibitor Kit on TorontoBoatShow.com.

Meanwhile, please also remain alert for fraudulent solicitations from International Fairs Directory, FAIR Guide, EVENT Fair, Commercial OnLine Manuals S de RL de CV (based in Mexico) and European City Guide, S.L. (based in Spain), or other agencies of which we are not aware of, soliciting your "updated" "FREE" listing/advertisement in their exhibitor directory. In reality, the forms are costly long-term contracts for which you agree to pay thousands of dollars.

Unauthorized exhibitor guides are not distributed at the show.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact show manager Cynthia Hare (905-951-4054) .
