Dear friends and neighbors,
This week, we introduced the bipartisan REBATE Act to allow Florida families access to over $346 million in rebates to save money on energy-efficient appliances and homes. We passed the Inflation Reduction Act and Infrastructure Law to benefit working families and improve our nation for future generations. In Florida, there is bipartisan support for funding these programs. We refuse to let a politically-motivated veto get in the way.
In the district, we hosted a Future of Central Florida Water roundtable with federal, state, and local officials. We've secured over $500 million in WIFIA loans for water supply, authorized nearly $164 million for flood control, and worked on the restoration of Big Lake Toho, Shingle Creek, Kissimmee River, and Lake Runnymede.
In case you missed it, we secured an up to $289 million grant to lead the way in developing next generation aerospace microchips, creating new high-paying jobs, and defending our nation. We also received news that we may be getting the largest solar project in America in Florida's Ninth Congressional District. We are thrilled to see Florida Power & Light buy 150-acre El Maximo Ranch in Osceola County.
I am incredibly proud of our accomplishments this week and look forward to continuing our work to improve the lives of Central Floridians.

Visiting the Whitted Historic Neighborhood

We secured an up to $289 million grant to lead the way in developing next generation aerospace microchips, creating new high-paying jobs, and defending our nation.
Proud to see Osceola County receive this U.S. Department of Defense Cornerstone award to help the U.S. move towards a strong, secure domestic semiconductor industry. Through this partnership, we'll be able to to expand semiconductor packaging capabilities at NeoCity.
As work begins on projects funded through this contract, numerous high-quality jobs in research, development, manufacturing, and more will become available to Central Floridians and help keep our local economy strong.

|
We may be getting the largest solar project in America in Florida's Ninth Congressional District. We are thrilled to see Florida Power & Light buy 150-acre El Maximo Ranch in Osceola County.
The Inflation Reduction Act helped make this a reality. We applaud FPL’s Real Zero goal to eliminate all carbon emissions by 2045.
