Dear friends and neighbors,

This week, we were thrilled to see our Consumer Safety Technology Act pass out of the Energy and Commerce Committee. This bill will allow the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission to explore the use of AI in their work to protect consumers from dangerous products. It also directs studies at the Department of Commerce and Federal Trade Commission on blockchain technology and digital tokens.

We also worked on bills to ensure price transparency for travelers and spoke to National Telecommunications and Information Administration Administrator Alan Davidson on efforts to connect all Americans to high-speed internet.

I also had the opportunity to attend the White House Holiday Ball with my lovely wife Amanda and spend a wonderful evening with President Joe Biden and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden.

In the district, I received my updated flu vaccine at True Health. It is critical to stay up to date with your shots to protect yourself and those around you.

Today, we met with our Healthcare Advisory Board as we continue working together for the safety of our community and participated in a clean-up event with our Environmental Advisory Board to protect the health of our local environment.

I am incredibly proud of our accomplishments this week and look forward to continuing our work to improve the lives of Central Floridians.

Ensuring Travelers Receive Transparent Pricing
Families from across the country and world visit Central Florida to enjoy our world-class theme parks and attractions. I was proud to vote to pass the No Hidden FEES Act in the Energy and Commerce Committee to ensure they receive price transparency from the beginning to the end of their trip. The price advertised should be the price paid.
Working to Connect All Central Floridians to High-Speed Internet
In this weeks Energy and Commerce IDC hearing, we had the opportunity to receive updates on the National Telecommunications and Information Administration's work to connect Americans to high-speed internet and boost American manufacturing. In Florida, we have $1.17 billion in broadband infrastructure funds coming our way to help rural communities. We also have 55,000 families in need in FL-09 receiving internet from the Affordable Connectivity Program.
Attending the White House Holiday Ball
It was an honor to attend the White House Holiday Ball with my lovely wife Amanda. Thankful to President Joe Biden and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden for inviting us to be a part of this lovely evening.
Discussing Transparent Ticket Pricing with Future Forum and Live Nation
Future Forum Members held an informative meeting with Live Nation to discuss efforts to improve the ticket-buying experience for concertgoers across the nation. We are committed to ensuring transparency for fans and protecting artists.

Staying Protected During Flu Season
I received my updated flu vaccine at True Health in Orlando. We appreciate all their hard work in caring for Central Florida families. It is critical to stay up to date with your shots to protect yourself and those around you.
Hosting a Clean Up with our Environmental Advisory Board
We had a great clean-up event in Belle Isle and Pinecastle with our Environmental Advisory Board. It is critical for us to do our part to maintain the health of our environment. I'm proud of our work to sponsor budget projects for streetscape upgrades and pedestrian safety, as well as foster these connections between local advocates, environmentalists, scientists, and more.
Meeting with our Healthcare Advisory Board
We met with our Healthcare Advisory Board to discuss the recent spikes in flu and COVID-19 cases, receive updates on the new UCF nursing school in Lake Nona, and review health bills recently passed out of the Energy and Commerce Committee. Honored to take part in these important conversations.

PACT Act Resources for Veterans
Toxic-exposed veterans in Central Florida deserve to access all their rightfully earned benefits without issue.

For more information, visit VA.gov/PACT or call 1-800-698-2411.
There has been an increase in PACT Act-related email, phone, and social media scams targeting veterans by offering to submit claims on their behalf. Click here to learn more.
Emergency Mental Health Care for Veterans
Veterans can receive no-cost emergency mental health care at VA or non-VA healthcare facilities. Veterans can use this benefit whether or not they are enrolled in the VA system. This new policy will save lives.
Insulin is Now No More Than $35/Month for Seniors
Last year, House Democrats passed the Inflation Reduction Act. This year, millions of seniors will no longer have to ration their insulin because they can’t afford it. As of July 1, 2023, Americans on Medicare Part B can see their insulin copays capped at $35 per month.
