Friends,

Memorial Day  is upon us. Freedom isn't free and as we honor these brave men and women who serve our country, we ask that you take a moment to pause and remember. Remember the fallen heroes that paid the ultimate price to keep us safe and defend the freedoms we hold so dear.

The Spring Into Summer Trunk Show was a huge success last week. Thank you for everybody that came out to the event.

We encourage you to schedule your annual eye exam today! Remember to wear your sunglasses as you head out for Summer vacations.

Keeping your eyes healthy is important to us, so remember, at Lake Oconee Eye Care, our doctors are available for after-hours eye emergencies.

We love our patients! We are always here for you and welcome your call, email , or visit to our office anytime.

Spring is here! Unfortunately, for many of us, spring comes with seasonal allergies.

The most common eye-related allergy symptoms are itchiness, redness, and watering, but they can be accompanied by swollen eyelids, a scratchy or gritty feeling, a burning sensation, and discomfort with contact lenses.

We all know there are differences between men and women, but it might surprise you that some of those differences have to do with our eyes!

Women are more susceptible to eye diseases than men, while men are more likely to gave an eye injury. Studies have shown that women are better at distinguishing subtle differences in color, while men are better at tracking movement.

We tend to only think of tears when something makes us cry, whether we’re watching a touching or tragic movie or we’re laughing so hard that our eyes water. However, tears are really the unsung heroes of eye health.

Tears have several purposes. They protect our eyes, help us feel better, relieve dry eye, and constantly refreshing and promoting drainage when needed.
