Our Engineers and the Military Industry
Our men and women in the military face many dangers – equipment failure should never be one of them. Ensuring that military parts work when they are supposed to often comes down to the quality of the parts that make it up. American Wire EDM uses a highly advanced technology called electrical discharge machining, which is capable of producing parts that meet the military’s strict guidelines.
We understand how important it is for men and women in uniform to be able to rely on the gear that they use every day. Our engineers work closely with the military industry to create parts that meet MIL-SPEC requirements or other specific engineering standards. Whether our services are needed to produce parts for artillery, aircraft, armored vehicles or ships, we are committed to manufacturing only the highest-quality parts.
At American Wire EDM, our CNC-operated electrical discharge machining systems are state-of-the-art.
Because EDM is highly precise, we’re able to produce military parts that meet complex specifications with a level of accuracy that traditional machining just cannot match. Our EDM machines can manufacture precision parts that match the dimensional tolerances of your designs within ± 0.0001”.
CNC operation helps us maintain and ensure the accuracy of the military parts we manufacture. Our facility houses eight Mitsubishi EDM Machines; we have the capacity to handle just about any project, no matter how large or small.
