The best price on a Prout 39 Catamaran you'll ever find.
Missy has the popular State Room Layout and has many recent interior upgrades by local shipwrights. Her interior is ready for your personal touches and styles to take over and make her your home, daysailor or world cruiser.
"Prout is the oldest manufacturer of stock multihulls, and they've produced an awful lot of boats," said Charles Chiodi, publisher of Multihulls Magazine. "They've got a very good track record, with a reputation for stable boats." Indeed, over 4,000 vessels have been built by Prout over a 40-year period, during which many lessons have been learned.
How did some of these lessons manifest themselves in the Escale? Over some 10-million miles logged with Prout cruising catamarans, there reportedly have been no hull failures or capsizes of any Prout catamaran, including the Escale 39. All these designs share some common features: beam-to-length ratios of under 50 percent, "mainsail" (small mainsail with large genoa) cutter rig stepped well aft, which allows all sails to be handled from the safety of the cockpit; low-aspect ratio keels for shallow draft and beachability; skeg-mounted rudders; seaworthiness provided by buoyancy reserves in the bows in combination with a solid foredeck and narrow transoms aft; and a mini-hull or nacelle between the hulls to prevent pounding. The sound construction, combined with the yard's reputation, ensure that your investment is protected by well-established resale values.
