Proposed Rezoning | 4455 Betsy Kerrison Parkway
Last year, Charleston County Planning and Zoning received a proposed rezoning of the property located at 4455 Betsy Kerrison Parkway, Johns Island, SC 29455 (the undeveloped property between the Municipal Center and Resurrection Road). View Map 

Sea Island Gold LLC proposed to rezone their property from its current zoning of R-4 (Single-Family Residential - 4 DU per acre) to Planned Unit Development (PUD). Their proposal includes a miniature golf facility referenced as Sea Island Golf Course for outdoor recreation and food sales. Their application is still under review by the Charleston County planning staff.

Town Council would like to receive feedback from property owners on the proposed use before the March 8 Charleston County Planning Commission meeting, where it is expected to be reviewed. The Town will receive feedback until February 26 at noon.
Johns Island Densities
At the Charleston County Planning Commission meeting on Monday, the Commissioners and staff agreed that there will be no changes to housing densities on Johns Island. Specifically, the RR-3 and R-4 zoning densities will remain as they currently are in the Zoning and Land Development Regulations (ZLDR).
