DODD Updates
Additional Relief Payment For Waiver Providers
DODD released the following information via email on March 25, 2021:

Additional Relief Payment Approved
The Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) and the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD), with financial support from Ohio's county boards of developmental disabilities, have received federal approval for an additional relief payment to eligible DODD waiver providers.
 
The amount of each eligible provider’s payment will be calculated as a percentage of the total amount of paid claims for the list of services (below) for dates of service from 8/1/2020 through 10/31/2020. 
 
Services to be included in the payment calculation are:
  • Homemaker/Personal Care (HPC), including On-Site/On-Call and HPC Daily Billing Unit,
  • Participant-Directed HPC, including Participant-Directed On-Site/On-Call
  • Shared Living,
  • Adult Day Support,
  • Vocational Habilitation,
  • Employment services, including Career Planning services, and
  • Non-Medical Transportation.
 
The projected date for these payments is between April 9 and April 13, 2021.

PNM Update from DODD's Memo Monday, March 8, 2021
Learn about the new online system for certification PNM. PNM will interface directly with the current PSM. This rollout will effect certification applications for all providers now through April 30, 2021.

DCBDD is partnering with the SNAP-Ed program at The Ohio State University Extension Office in Delaware to bring the program Nutrition Nuggets to the people we serve, providers, and interested members of the community. The program will teach participants how to make nutritious food choices within a limited budget and how to lead a physically active lifestyle. The virtual classes are free to all participants.

Updated ADS Order
Ohio Department of Health Director Stephanie McCloud has issued the Second Amended Director's Order on Adult Day Support Services and Vocational Habilitation Services.

A modification to the original order adapts to the latest medical guidance from local health departments. This updated language will allow providers to continue to deliver services in a safe environment while following the best medical practices.

Every Wonderbook is a print book with a ready-to-play audiobook inside. Kids will press play to read along with their favorite books and then switch to learning mode for literacy learning and fun. There are a variety of reading levels to choose from.

The Frontline Forum
The Frontline Forum is a virtual gathering that is designed to provide updates and information directly to Direct Support Professionals and Frontline Supervisors, as well as provide a space for connection and camaraderie though facilitated large and small group discussions. The Frontline Forum is a quarterly (virtual) gathering, the first one is scheduled for Wednesday, April 21, 2021 from 6 PM - 7:30 PM.
