Due to the state of emergency, the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) has temporarily waived many requirements for new Direct Support Professionals (DSPs).
Initial Training for New Direct Support Professionals
Condensed training to recognize and report MUIs and IUIs
Universal Precautions
First Aid and CPR
DODD is currently accepting online First Aid and CPR.
Blended/In-Class must be obtained if the DSP will continue providing support after June 1, 2020.
Medication Administration
Requirements remain the same, however some portions of the course may be conducted remotely.
