From the DCBDD MUI Department: Choking: Resources for Prevention from DODD
Prevention Plans should address the causes and contributing factors. The team and plan should be clear on identified risks such as choking and how the team is addressing these risks.
Please suggest that team utilize choking related resources available as part of preventative measures.

DODD Rule Update: New rules effective June 1, 2016
New Nonprofit Housing Affiliate
We are excited to introduce you to our new nonprofit housing partner, Summit Housing Development Corporation. On May 1, 2018, Summit Housing will replace Delaware Creative Housing as DCBDD’s nonprofit housing affiliate. Summit Housing operates in several counties in Ohio and currently provides housing for over 330 people. Summit Housing believes in developing and maintaining safe and appropriate housing in an integrated setting for individuals with developmental and other disabilities. Their goal is to secure housing for eligible individuals based on choice, need, accessibility and location. DCBDD believes Summit Housing will be a great partner to support people in finding housing options that best fit their needs.
