Good morning,

April 16 is National Healthcare Decisions Day, an observance established to educate healthcare providers and consumers about advance care planning and empower everyone to make their wishes for their care known. In alignment with this important cause, we're offering an expert-led, 2-part workshop that educates and empowers caregivers in helping support and inform these important medical decisions. The workshop is free of charge—please read on for full info in our calendar section.

In this issue, you'll also find newly translated fact sheets to support caregivers in families who speak Spanish, Vietnamese, Chinese and Tagalog; as well as several not-to-miss events, dates and calls to action.

Finally, did you know that FCA publishes several other newsletters in addition to this one? Check out our Connections Newsletter (news, resources and information for caregivers), Caregiving Policy Digest (caregiving-related policy news), and ¿Que Pasa? Boletin (news and resources for Spanish-speaking caregivers and their families). In addition, we publish a newsletter for Best Programs for Caregiving (BPC), a free online directory of proven support programs for family and friend caregivers of individuals living with dementia. Check out, share and sign up for one or all of these great resources!

Thanks for all you do!

Warmly,

Family Caregiver Alliance

FCA Offers New Program for Families Navigating Dementia

FCA has partnered with Tembo Health to launch the GUIDE program, offering comprehensive dementia care support at no cost for those with traditional Medicare. Each family receives a dedicated care team and personal navigator while maintaining access to existing FCA services. GUIDE provides personalized support with education and coaching, care coordination for specialist care, and 24/7 clinical care access to doctors for emergencies. For eligible families, this includes up to $2,500 in respite.

Eligible participants must have dementia, traditional Medicare coverage (not Medicare Advantage), and live outside of nursing homes or hospice/PACE programs.

On Wednesday, April 23, from 6-8pm, we hope you'll join us in celebrating three trailblazing organizations delivering programs that address the critical needs of caregivers and those they care for living with Alzheimer's disease or a related condition. Our 17th annual Innovations in Alzheimer's Caregiving Awards reception takes place as part of the larger ASA conference in Orlando (April 21-24) and is open to the public—all are welcome!
