Thank You for Your Feedback! | |
|
We so appreciate the time and feedback many of you gave in answering our recent survey. We are committed to ensuring that this e-newsletter is valuable, informative and helpful to you, and your feedback is the best way to make that happen! Here's what we learned from your survey responses:
-
This e-newsletter community comprises a range of professional roles. Subscribers here are all healthcare and human services providers, but serve in a variety of roles, including social workers, nurses, educators and education program managers, peer volunteers, caregiver support group leaders, and those in other clinical, social service and community service roles.
-
You find this newsletter informative, relevant and helpful. We were delighted to learn that you find the content of this newsletter helpful — from the resources we provide and upcoming classes to updates on our work and our perspective on caregiver needs, challenges and experiences.
-
You're likely to refer family caregivers to FCA. Our mission is to improve the lives of family caregivers and their care recipients so we couldn't be more pleased to hear that many of you refer your caregiver patients and clients to us for free support and assistance.
Your Questions Answered — We received some great questions and comments in the survey. We'd like to answer them here in a Q&A-style format:
-
Question: I am a caregiver — can you provide more information on the basics of caregiving?
-
Answer: We're so glad you found us! This e-newsletter, the Provider E-News Update, was created for health care and social services providers, so has content geared specifically for professional providers. If you're a caregiver, please sign up for our monthly Connections e-newsletter, which has information, news and resources created specifically for family and friend caregivers. And of course, explore our website for all kinds of resources, education, support and assistance.
-
Question: Can you expand your resources and information outside the Bay Area?
-
Answer: FCA was founded in and remains headquartered in San Francisco, so the Bay Area is where many of our deepest networks, knowledge base and partner relationships are. Our local work is centered in the six Bay Area counties (Contra Costa, San Mateo, Santa Clara, San Francisco, Marin and Alameda counties), which ensures we have a "finger on the pulse" to easily share news, resources and information to our local provider community (who often partner with us as well). That said, we do support family caregivers across the country — via CareNav, our free online tool that provides caregivers with personalized resources, our website, which is loaded with abundant resources, support and high-quality information, and our recently revamped Services By State tool, which provides caregivers in any state with resources in their local area.
If you want to share additional feedback, our survey is still open and we always welcome emails!
