Sesame Street in Communities
Caring and Sharing for Early Childhood Workshop

Join WFSU Public Media’s Education & Engagement team for an evening all about Caring and Sharing from Sesame Street in Communities (SSIC). 2020 was tough for us all, including our little learners. In this workshop, we will show how to use SSIC resources in your classroom to help children ages 2-5 navigate big feelings and traumatic experiences through art activities, videos, stories, and games.

Two in-service hours are available for early educators who are located in the Big Bend and Northwest region of Florida.
As OEL is reviewing VPK success rates between VPK vs. Non-VPK programs across the state, the Coalition wanted to remind you about the OEL sponsored Virtual Study Buddies (VSB) opportunities, to assist VPK teachers as they review for the end of course assessments that are required for some of the VPK trainings. These sessions are FREE and provide an opportunity for participants to ask clarifying questions and get a better understanding of the course content that they will be testing on.

Help Your Parents Access Help Me Grow
As you know, early detection, intervention, and connection to services are critical for optimal outcomes for children with developmental, behavioral, and educational concerns, but too often children miss this opportunity.

Help Me Grow (HMG) addresses this by building collaboration among community programs, such as yourself; providing a centralized access point for information and referral; promoting surveillance and screenings; and educating and informing the families of our community.

Help us grow a healthier Northwest Florida by scheduling a screening session for the private-pay parents of your program. A HMG Program Specialist is available to provide in-person screenings within your program and telephone screenings with your parents. Please click below to schedule a screening session for your center and share the consent form and flier linked to the right with your parents.
Florida KidCare

In a time when the health and safety of our community are most important, help keep the children in your center insured.

Encourage families in your centers to contact ELCNWF for information and assistance applying for Florida KidCare.
