School Readiness Updates
SR Provider Requirement: 6M-4.740

SR Providers serving children from birth to Kindergarten entry must submit a Monthly Roster in QPS each month, reporting the director, number of classrooms, teachers and care levels assigned to those classrooms. If questions, please reach out to your Quality Specialist.
COVID 19- Guidance for Child Care Providers

Early Learning Literacy Grant Opportunity
The Office of Early Learning is again partnering with the Florida Literacy Association (FLA) in sharing information about the Early Learning Literacy Grant opportunity (see attachments). The top five winners will receive literacy resources and books provided by the FLA. Please visit the FLA website at for additional details, resources and ways you can support literacy in your community. Deadline is September 30, 2020
New Training Opportunities Available
The Office of Early Learning (OEL) is pleased to announce a new language and vocabulary professional development opportunity for school districts and early learning coalition staff.

Beginning in October, OEL, in partnership with the Regional Education Laboratory Southeast (REL-SE), will be offering the Prekindergarten and Kindergarten Language and Vocabulary Project Training.

This training is specifically for early education and elementary coaches and early literacy leaders who support high-quality instruction in preschool and kindergarten classrooms.

The focus of this training will expand participants’ knowledge and practices relating to
language and vocabulary development and instruction, with the long-term goal of increasing student literacy success. Stipends will be available for participants.
