Epidiolex is the first and only FDS approved Prescription Cannabidiol. Epidiolex is a prescription pharmaceutical formulation of highly-purified, marijuana plant-derived cannabidiol (CBD) for the treatment of seizures associated with Lennox-Gastaut syndrome or Dravet syndrome in patients two years of age or older.

Epidiolex is controlled in Schedule V of the Controlled Substances Act. Keep this medicine in a safe place to prevent misuse and abuse. Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) Reminder

Beginning  Aug. 5, for individuals that receive HPC in 15 minute units, Medicaid's Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) will need to be used by DSPs to clock in and out as they provide services.  Without this, providers will be unable to bill for services.  Prior to this, all provider and DSPs using EVV will need to attend ODM's training on the process and system.  We are being told that training opportunities will begin in April.

To capture visits, Medicaid has technology available through Sandata for DSPs and independent providers to use.  If an agency provider would like to use an alternative system, Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) permits this, but it has to go through the approval process.  Attached are the   that we received from ODM for this process.

Monthly Rate Calculator- MRC
Throughout 2019, HCDDS will be transitioning shared HPC setting CPT sites from the legacy DRA to the new MRC. As a reminder, this only affects sites where two or more people live together and share HPC services.

We will be working with OVRS as our first agency to transition, this work begins in February. We plan to start moving other sites around April. We are working on a calendar for transitioning all other sites and we will transition all of an agency's sites at the same time. We will be reaching out to let each agency know when we plan to convert their sites and we are willing to change the date if the agency would prefer a different transition date. We will also be scheduling time to meet with providers, share our soon to be revised provider revision procedure and answer questions. Please contact Nancy Bystry with questions.
