DODD Announces New Training
DODD Director Jeff Davis has announced a new training opportunity for anyone who supports people with developmental disabilities. The "Did You Notice?" training encourages providers to approach all behavior as a form of communication, which leads to increased observational skills, k nowledge, and empathy. 
Ohio DODD Updates Guidance for Visitation, Camps and NMT
The Ohio DODD has issued new guidance and updates in relation to the pandemic.
Reminder for Independent Providers About Health Screening Guidelines
As a reminder, Independent Providers need to be following Covid-19 health screening protocols for themselves and those they serve before going to someone’s house to work with them. 
Med Administration Relief Rule Expires August 1
Due to the pandemic, DODD had issued new temporary guidance for medication administration certification renewals. Effective August 1, the rule relief will expire.
Onboarding New Employees
Previous guidance issued by the Ohio DODD, allowed for the relaxation of many requirements regarding the onboarding and training of Direct Support Professionals has now been extended until further notice. As a reminder, the Medina County Board of DD is continuing to assist with background checks and CPR/FA training if needed. Contact our Provider Support Team for more information.
Reopening of Services
We know many providers are opening up day programs or are continuing to provider direct support by visiting locations to serve individuals. We are here to help if you need any assistance. We continue to have an inventory of some PPE items, cleaning supplies and we are able to purchase other additional items that you may need to address pandemic related issues beyond these items. Please contact our Provider Support Team with your requests.
