Weekly Update for Providers
Continued thanks to our outstanding provider community for your work during the COVID-19 outbreak. We are sending out weekly updates about issues that are important to providers during this time.
Provider Announcements
Supplies are Still Available!

We have been able to receive a supply of hand sanitizer, gloves and disinfectant spray to share with providers.

Supply distribution will continue to be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9-11 at our Liberty-Fairfield office and will be based on provider responses our needs survey. We will schedule a specific time for you to pick up any supplies we are able to provide.

If you need refills of previously given supplies, please e-mail Lee Ann Emmons at laemmons@butlerdd.org to schedule a time to pick up. We ask that you keep/return the re-usable bottles that are provided to get refills over the coming weeks.

We will continue to use our survey to gather new needs for supplies. If you have not yet completed a survey or have new needs, please complete one today.
Click here to take the survey.

We were provided with limited PPE by the Emergency Management Agency and have distributed that to providers. Going forward, we will only provide PPE in cases where there a suspected or tested positive case of Covid-19.

We also have a supply of paper products to share if provider homes are in need. Again, please use the survey method to indicate such a need.

CPR Expiring Soon?

If you are an independent provider who needs to renew before June 1st, please reach out to Michelle Truett, /Quality Assurance RN, here to recieve an extension on your current certification.

As a reminder, DODD has relaxed the in-person skills check requirement for CPR during the pandemic. If you need a CPR class for new staff or for certification, there is an option for a free on-line provisional class provided by The American Red Cross. Click here to register.

If you are a provider who is interested in providing services this way, please contact the Support Coordiantor for the individuals you serve to start the process.

If you would like some assistance with preparing this request, creating documentation or general questions about how to start, please reach out to Lee Ann Emmons via e-mail or phone at 513-785-2876.

Planning for a Surge in Cases

DODD sent out a toolkit ( click here ) on 4/16/2020 to address how providers in both congregate and community settings should plan and prepare for when people are exposed or diagnosed with COVID-19. The information provides guidance from ODH on the relocation of individuals when necessary, and the best practices for utilizing the available supply of PPE.

DODD is offering two webinars next week about planning for the surge. The webinars will be held on Tuesday, April 21 st.
The Community Settings session will be from 10:00 am – 11:00 ( register here ).
The Congregate Care Settings session will be from 1:30 – 2:30 ( register here ).
