Eight Dioceses, One Province

Welcome! The Episcopal Church’s 119 dioceses are organized into nine provinces. While provinces once existed mainly for communication and administrative support, each now discerns its own mission. Province VI includes the dioceses of Colorado, Iowa, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, South Dakota, North Dakota, and Wyoming. Though geographically large and smaller in membership, Province VI has been actively discerning its purpose. A clear focus has emerged: strengthening relationships and community across our eight dioceses. This communication is one way we stay connected—sharing actions from monthly Council meetings and highlighting gatherings across the province that anyone may join. Technology now makes this connection easier than ever. Our intention is simple: to help all of us feel connected and know we belong in this shared time and place. For more information, email Ellen Bruckner.

Diocesan communicators: Please include this information from Province VI in your regular e-newsletter. Questions? Email Ellen Bruckner.

Diocesan bishops: Dear Province VI Bishops, you are receiving this message with the intention of sharing information about what is happening with the Province VI Council. It also has notices of any network meetings across the province. This is a beginning in our shift toward a focus on building relationships across our dioceses. We encourage you to share this with others in your diocese. If there is information you would like to share, please let us know through your Council representative. We remain open to suggestions and comments. Thanks, Ellen

Others: Greetings Province VI! This message is the first in the Provincial Council's shift toward building relationships across our province. Each month, it will contain a summary of the work of the Council and a list of networks that are gathering across the province. Please share this freely. Questions may be directed to your Diocesan rep to the Provincial Council and/or Ellen Bruckner.
