RE: Provincial Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination

In recent weeks, most provinces have released information about plans to implement proof of COVID-19 vaccination requirements for restaurants, bars, halls, gyms, theatres, and other non-essential venues. While all provinces are currently in different stages of planning and implementation of proof of vaccination procedures, Kin Canada felt it important to connect with the membership on this topic in the meantime.

There are still many unknowns on if/when/how proof of vaccination will be implemented in the provinces where Kin Canada clubs operate. For that reason, clubs, zones, and districts are asked to continue to monitor the ever-evolving public health guidelines and requirements in their region to determine if their meetings and events will be impacted.

If you are unsure if your in-person function requires you to ask your members or attendees for proof of vaccination, please consult your local or provincial public health department for guidance.

Kin Canada also recognizes that our members all have different levels of comfort regarding attending in-person activities at this time. Clubs, zones, and districts are asked to continue to be compassionate to their members’ unique personal situations and provide flexibility for individuals who choose not to attend in-person leadership, service, or fellowship. Hybrid in-person/virtual meetings and fellowship are a great way to ensure all members can remain engaged in Kin even if they have concerns about attending functions in-person.

Kin Canada Operations continues to monitor the announcements from Premiers across the country and consult with the National Board of Directors regarding how we can best serve our membership now and in the future.

Thank you for your continued dedication to Kin Canada, and please stay safe.

Yours in Kin,

Kin Canada Operations Team
