FINAL EXAMS ARE COMING!
Final exams are just around the corner. These last few weeks are going to fly by as usual. With so many fun things to do like the talent show, and the Fine Arts night, don't forget to take some time and prepare for your exams. Please note the last day of actual classes is on June 14, during exam days students can leave campus once they are finished writing. Final schedule below.
We can do this, Mustangs!

RETURN YOUR JERSEYS
As we come to the end of the school year I want to remind all of our students to return their jerseys from all of our sports seasons. Please check around your rooms and lockers for those volleyball, basketball, or soccer jerseys, and return them to Mr. Freire before you go home for the summer. If you are unsure if you need to return it, bring it to Mr. Freire and he can tell you if it is a jersey currently in use or an old one used for spirit days.
Each June we do an inventory of uniforms and end up ordering the ones that we need. It is a waste if we end up ordering a jersey that is hiding under someone’s bed.
| |
TEXTBOOKS TOO!
While you are looking for that jersey, keep an eye out for your textbooks. Books are due at the beginning of exams and once exams are done, any missing texts will be marked as lost and invoiced. Notices with textbook lists will be going out in the next few days.

THIS IS OUR AWESOME SCHOOL
Immaculata girls team claims gold at Provincial Soccer Championships | Last weekend, the Immaculata Mustangs senior girls soccer team traveled to Langley to compete in the Provincial 'A' championship tournament. A total of 16 squads from across the province laced up their cleats for a chance at winning it all.
|
From June 2nd to 4th the Immaculata Mustangs Sr. Girls Soccer Team travelled to the Provincial Championship in Langley. The Mustangs began the tournament with convincing wins over Ft. St. James and Osoyoos before taking on the host school, Credo Christian. The Mustangs jumped out to an early lead and extended it before halftime, eventually winning the game 4-0 and qualifying for the semi-finals vs. St. Ann’s from Kamloops. Immaculata took a 1-0 lead into halftime before St. Ann’s tied the game 1-1 on a penalty shot. The rest of the game was all Mustangs as they went on to win the game 5-1 and qualify for the final against Glenlyon Norfolk School from Victoria. In the final, the Mustangs came out strong and took a 2-0 lead into halftime. GNS started the second half strong before the Mustangs scored their third and put the game out of reach. A fourth goal finished off the scoring and the Mustangs won the game 4-0.
The Tournament MVP was Gr. 12 Anna Hopley who was a driving force behind the team’s success this year. The Super 16 Award winner was Emma Uhrich, an understated Gr. 11 student-athlete who excels on the pitch and scored and assisted many big goals for the team. The Player of the Game winners were Gr. 12 Trinity McCoy, Gr. 11’s Ella Krete and Taylor Melnyk, and Gr. 9 Grace Sissett who all pitched in various ways along the way to the Provincial title. The rest of the team is Sarah Donick, Jaimie Wallace, Iyra Puno, Adanna Eziekwu, Alexia Bekar, Haylie Cruickshank, Jayla Thalheimer, and Ella Bekar.
