The Psychonomic Society is pleased to welcome Penny Pexman (University of Calgary, Canada) as the new Chair of the Governing Board. Pexman has served on the Governing Board since January 1, 2018. She previously chaired the PS Publications & Awards committees, and has also served on the Audit, Ethics, Diversity & Inclusion, International Presence, and Finance committees.

Biography
Penny Pexman is currently Professor of Psychology and Associate Vice-President (Research) at the University of Calgary. Penny earned her PhD in Psychology at the University of Western Ontario in 1998 and joined the University of Calgary the same year. Her research expertise is in cognitive development, psycholinguistics, and cognitive neuroscience. She investigates how we derive meaning from language, exploring semantic and pragmatic processing and experience-driven changes in those skills. (Full Bio)

The Society expresses its gratitude and appreciation to Duane Watson (Vanderbilt University, USA) for his leadership as 2021 Chair of the Governing Board. Watson, along with GB Chair Penny Pexman and Chair-Elect Angela Gutchess (Brandeis University, USA), will serve on the Executive Committee through 2022.

2022 Governing Board
The Society extends a warm welcome to the 2022 Governing Board, including new members Myra Fernandes (University of Waterloo, Canada) and Zenzi Griffin (University of Texas at Austin, USA). The Governing Board serves as the organization's board of directors, responsible for the business, organizational, and legal affairs of the Society.
Sarah Creem-Regehr, CR:PI Editor-in-Chief

The Psychonomic Society welcomes Sarah Creem-Regehr (University of Utah, USA) as the new Editor-in-Chief of Cognitive Research: Principles & Implications (CR:PI). Creem-Regehr began her four year term on January 1, 2022. PS also welcomes the new CR:PI Editorial Team.

The Society thanks Jeremy M. Wolfe (Harvard Medical School/Brigham & Women's Hospital, USA) and his outgoing Editorial Team for their stewardship of CR:PI over the past several years. Wolfe completed his term as CR:PI Editor on December 31, 2021.
