The 2026 Governing Board Election provides an opportunity to select the leaders who will represent our members and guide the Society's mission and strategic vision. Emeriti, Fellows, and Members, are invited to participate in this important process.
Two seats are available on the 2026 Governing Board. Newly elected members will serve six-year terms from January 1, 2026 through December 31, 2031. Voting closes on August 31 (member login required). More.

| As social animals, humans have a deep need to connect with others, facilitated by sharing and transmitting information among social connections. We learn and remember with others, and we construct collective memory for the past. Yet, over a century of scientific experimental research has focused on the study of memory in individuals working alone. Cognitive research on memory in recent years has begun to focus on how sociality influences memory, and my research group leverages cognitive principles of individual memory to investigate these social influences. The William K. and Katherine W. Estes Fund invites proposals to fund advanced training opportunities in mathematical and computational modeling for psychological science in summer schools or focused workshops.
Topics in which the Estes Fund Committee is particularly interested include:
- Cognitive architectures
- Bayesian approaches to perception and concept formation
- Machine learning for psychological modeling
- Applications of mathematical models to neuroscience

Fellows and Members are invited to nominate an eminent researcher to deliver the Keynote Address at the 2026 Annual Meeting in San Diego, California, USA. Nominees must be a distinguished Society member or non-member who would give a compelling talk. The Nominations Committee will consider submissions and create a shortlist to present to the Governing Board for final selection. Nominations are due September 12. More.
